Register now for Girls Inc. 2008 Summer Camps!

Pre-registration for Girls Inc. participants ends on May 2, 2008. Public registration runs from May 5-16, 2008. A limited number of scholarships are available for all camps. An application and a $25 non-refundable deposit are required by May 16 to reserve a spot. For more information, please call 423-624-4757.

It's a Girls' World (Ages 6-8)
June 2-27, 2008

Explore opportunities for self-expression through dance, art and poetry. Learn about the arts and expressing your personality through fun field trips around Chattanooga.

It's a Girls' World for ages 6-8 will meet at the Highland Park Neighborhood Association.
Fees: $125 including a $25 non-refundable deposit.
Parents are required to attend an orientation session. Lunch is not provided.

It's a Girls' World (Ages 9-11)
June 2-27, 2008

Spend the month of June with other girls from around the area at the Chattanooga African-American Museum. Learn age-appropriate opportunities for self-expression through dance, art and poetry. Discover what it’s like behind-the-scenes at a museum as girls use their artwork to develop an exhibit.

It's a Girls' World for ages 9-11 will meet at the Chattanooga African-American Museum.
Fees: $125 including a $25 non-refundable deposit.
Parents are required to attend an orientation session. Lunch is not provided.

Express Yourself II (Ages 8-14)
June 2-27, 2008

Join Girls Inc. for a FUN-richment camp where girls will explore positive expression through the arts and sports, build healthy friendships through team-building activities and field trips and examine the pitfalls of negative expression through skits and group expression. Throughout the camp girls, will create a scrapbook and journal, participate in etiquette classes, financial literacy programs and a soccer clinic.

Express Yourself II meets at Harrison United Methodist Church from June 2-27, 2008.
Fees: $170 including a $25 non-refundable deposit.
Parents are required to attend a parent orientation session. Lunch is not provided.

Emma Wheeler Health Academy (Ages 14-18)
June 2-27, 2008

Interested in a career in health? Join Girls Incorporated® of Chattanooga as we explore the options! Learn about health and health care through traditional and non-traditional careers in health. Take part in yoga, volleyball and other exercise activities. Develop a Health Care Newsletter for your peers. Go on exciting field trips around the community and bond with new friends.

The Health Academy will meet from June 2-27, 2008 at different locations in Chattanooga.
Fees: $500 including a $25 non-refundable deposit.
Parents are required to attend a parent orientation session. Lunch is not provided.

GirlVenture (Ages 14-18)
June 2-27, 2008

Are you a budding entrepreneur? Learn the secrets of the business world at this four-week camp hosted in downtown Chattanooga. Girls will tour local businesses and network with professional businesswomen through our GirlVenture Business Lunch series. Each girl will be paired with a professional mentor and meet with her weekly. Teams will develop a business plan and compete for prizes.
